ECOTRA SA press release

Diamniadio, November 11th, 2019: In response to a request from the families of the deceased to restore the mausoleums of the late Serigne Fallou Mbacke and Serigne Sidy Moukhtar Mbacke,  respectively 2nd and 7th General Khalifes of the Mouride Community to which he is proud to belong, Mr. Abdoulaye Sylla, businessman and ECOTRA SA’s CEO, accepted to restore the Mausoleums of these distinguished deceased persons.

In conjunction with the committee in place, ECOTRA SA has also drawn up a schedule for the work to be carried out as part of this restoration operation.

This schedule for the execution of the work is being carried out normally to date.

Indeed, as the structural work has been completed, the progress of the finishing work is satisfactory since the interior decoration is underway for the mausoleum of Late Serigne Fallou Mbacké (RTA). It is worth noticing that for such interior decoration, ECOTRA SA has specially called upon manpower from Morocco, whose expertise in this field is no longer to be proven.

For the finishing work, ECOTRA SA ordered equipment and materials from leading manufacturers in Dubai, China and Italy. Deliveries of these parts ordered abroad are scheduled between January and February 2020.

In any event, as agreed and decided in the schedule, the delivery of these two projects, costing respectively one billion four hundred and twenty-seven million (1,427,000,00) CFA francs and four hundred and twenty-eight million

(428,000,000) CFA francs, is expected in April 2020.

While reiterating their sincere thanks to these two families for their trust, ECOTRA SA and especially its CEO Abdoulaye Sylla, reaffirm their only commitment to Senegal’s development.
